Wedding Venue Marketing Shoot
Working with The Styled Studio was the most impactful decision we made in our journey to transform North Mowing into a sought-after wedding venue. This historic property—featuring breathtaking gardens designed by Ellen Biddle Shipman and a home built by Horace Brown—has always had timeless beauty, but we needed help bringing that vision to life for modern couples. That’s where the incredible team of Sorrell Downing and Kate Preftakes stepped in.
Over the course of a two-day shoot, The Styled Studio curated an editorial experience that was nothing short of extraordinary. With three models, four distinct bridal looks, lush florals, stunning stationery, gourmet catering, dreamy desserts, and thoughtfully chosen rentals, every detail was elevated and cohesive. It felt like a real wedding—and a true celebration of the space. The shoot captured the essence of North Mowing perfectly, and the results spoke for themselves: we were published in Style Me Pretty, Ruffled, Wedding Chicks, and even featured in Martha Stewart Weddings.
But what truly set The Styled Studio apart was their support beyond the creative. Sorrell and Kate also helped guide us through the less glamorous (but essential) administrative side—meeting with our town officials, helping us prepare documents for Planning and Zoning Boards, and ensuring we had everything needed to launch as a legitimate, functioning venue. We affectionately referred to them as the “wedding mafia”—in the most loving way—because they came in with such professionalism, polish, and deep industry knowledge. Thanks to The Styled Studio, North Mowing is now proudly hosting weddings and welcoming couples to a one-of-a-kind Vermont experience. We’re so grateful for their vision, expertise, and unwavering support every step of the way."
